About the Department

Fair Play Fire Department Inc is part of Oconee County Emergency Services covering the southern-most district in Oconee County. District includes Lake Hartwell and Interstate 85, the later of which accounts for over 50% of our calls annually. Currently running 5 front line apparatus plus and UTV with skid unit and pickup as well as assisting with staffing of a OCES fire boat moored in our district.

Why Fair Play Volunteer Fire Department?

Membership currently consists of members with less than one year service to several who started their service in 1977 and a mix in-between. Even though we are all volunteer, we have several ‘career paths’ to ensure minimal impact on new personnel yet ensuring all personnel are trained to a predesignated minimum standard thereby ensuring quality service to our fellow citizens.
