Edisto Beach Fire Department is a combination department in a semi remote island location 45 minutes south of Charleston. We provide a community service type Fire Department atmosphere, catering to our Senior locals population of just over 600 and our seasonal tourist population that sometimes exceeds 10,000.

The department prides its self in its ability to provide services not available in most other beach communities such as loaning beach wheel chairs, unlocking vehicles, relocating lost pets and turtles, helping citizens get in and out of their house (lift assist) as needed, station tours for children and adults. We have survived 3 hurricanes in the last 3 years and are prepared for the next.
